Alan Ball is an award-winning actor, singer, and voiceover artist based in Chicago. Since 1983, he has performed in hundreds of theatrical productions and concerts. From classical to contemporary, comedy to drama, Shakespeare to musicals, his work on stage has brought him to 48 states, Canada, Greece, Austria, Germany, Russia and the Netherlands. He has a BA and an MFA in Theatre, and a Certificate from the Moscow Art Theatre. His training includes instruction in Stage Combat, Circus Arts, Period Movement, the International Phonetic Alphabet, Commedia Dell’arte, Dialects, and Folio Technique. Alan has been a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association since 1992, and is an Artistic Associate of the Michigan Shakespeare Festival and Chicago's Explore Theatre. In addition to his acting awards, he has also received recognition as a vocalist, photographer, and playwright.
Beyond live theatre, Alan's acting work includes hundreds of recorded and live projects for TV, movies, commercials, industrial films, trade shows, voiceovers, and corporate training seminars, both as an on-camera actor and narrator and as a live presenter and corporate trainer. Clients have included Coca-Cola, McDonalds, General Motors, Kellogg's, Motorola, the United States Armed Forces, Sears, and Disney.
